Scillyness Day #4

My birthday! We launched early (tiptoeing past the neighbouring tents to the beach) and paddled more or less everywhere, paddling to at least 20 islands. This auspicious date was honoured with outstanding weather. However, on each island we visited, we discovered that the news somehow hadn’t got through. Red carpets, bunting, brass bands and Red Arrows fly-pasts were all sadly lacking.

About

During 2006-8 I researched, photographed and wrote a sea kayaking guide to the South West of England; from the Bristol Channel to the Isle of Wight. I have used this blog to keep folk updated as to my progress and to reveal some of the wonderful scenery, culture and wildlife of this little corner of England.
