The End

Land's End

Well, not quite. But a week of <shock horror> good weather has allowed us to complete all of the exposed coast that hadn’t been covered yet. Until the weather broke, it was looking dicey for a while!

The Land’s End peninsula was simply magnificent, some of the best sea paddling we’ve ever done.

More to follow when I have a decent connection …

I’ve walked quite a bit of the SW coast path. I must do it by kayak. I’ve really enjoyed the account and photos. I’m sure the book will come together as a result.

    Hi Mark

I was lucky enough to grow up in Penzance: it is an amazing stretch of coast for paddling, (my favourite bit is Cape Cornwall to St.Ives.) Glad to see you went around Lands End as the sun was setting.

Yes, the sunset transformed an already great paddle into something truly special. There is nowhere better to see it than the far west!

About

Over the past eighteen months I have researched, photographed and written a sea kayaking guide to the South West of England; from the Bristol Channel to the Isle of Wight. I have been using this blog to keep folk updated as to my progress and to reveal some of the wonderful scenery, culture and wildlife of this little corner of England.
