Paddled along the Purbeck coast last night between 9 pm and midnight, in brilliant moonlight. The cliffs were lit up extraordinarily brightly, allowing us to experience a very familiar place in a totally unfamiliar way. Away from the full moon in the shadows and caves, phosphorescence sparkled.
All I took was this photo on the way home, sorry.

I honestly *don’t* think it’s a great photo – completely failed to capture the amazing unearthly moonlight. Taken propped on the car bonnet – focus set to infinity, F11, aperture priority – shutter time took about 30 secs. Turned the saturation up in PhotoShop a bit.
I think the lack of lighting gives it an earthy, abstract sort of feel, i like it.
