I’ve just been sifting through some pics from the summer, for a magazine article I’m working on. I was reminded…as if I needed reminding…of just how amazing the cliffs of Penwith (far west Cornwall) are. These castellated spires are found a few miles south of Land’s End.

All good.

About this blog

'South West Sea Kayaking' is the title of a guidebook I researched, photographed and wrote in 2007-8. The guidebook covers the incredible South West coast from the Isle of Wight to the Severn Estuary. An updated Second Edition was published in 2011.
My wife and I are currently working on a number of projects; a guide to Britain's coastal environment, provisionally entitled 'Savage Shores', part of an upcoming guidebook to Britain's South East coast and an update to a whitewater guidebook to England. We both regularly write and photograph for magazines and other publications.
This blog is simply a record of adventures and experiences along the way.
