Various tall objects to be found at the southern tip of the Isle of Portland. The smaller lighthouse is no longer in use; instead it belongs to the British Ornithology Trust, and you can stay there if so inclined.

About this blog
'South West Sea Kayaking' is the title of a guidebook I researched, photographed and wrote in 2007-8. The guidebook covers the incredible South West coast from the Isle of Wight to the Severn Estuary. An updated Second Edition was published in 2011.- My wife and I are currently working on a number of projects; a guide to Britain's coastal environment, provisionally entitled 'Savage Shores', part of an upcoming guidebook to Britain's South East coast and an update to a whitewater guidebook to England. We both regularly write and photograph for magazines and other publications.
- This blog is simply a record of adventures and experiences along the way.
